Event Details

The TTARA State Tax Committee will meet on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (CT) via Zoom to discuss several issues arising from the recent franchise tax rulemaking, as well as other matters of interest to members.

During the meeting, we will review potential legislative options and seek member input on several topics, including:

IRC conformity, including possible updates and the treatment of exceptions
A potential carryforward fix related to recent franchise tax rule changes
Opportunities to codify taxpayer-friendly improvements where feasible
A proposed “cloud computing bill” (formerly referred to as the data processing bill), which we plan to present following the Digital Goods and Services Working Group meeting
